Recently Louis Amestoy once again tried to influence our local politics by attacking me in his liberal rag known as the Kerr County Lead. This time he falsely accused me of attending a public social event (the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Kerrville Safety Complex) and allegedly violating the Open Meetings Act, which clearly Amestoy doesn’t understand. Attending a social event like the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Kerrville public safety facility is NOT a violation as it has nothing to do with county business and I had no communication with the other two members of the court who did attend the same social event. Interesting that Amestoy doesn’t suggest that Commissioner Jones or Commissioner Harris who sat together may have violated the act. I was in the back of the room and never had any contact with the other commissioners.
So clearly this is just another nasty hit piece by a left-wing social influencer (certainly not a journalist) who has it in for conservatives. In this case he is clearly trying to influence the November general election in favor of the so called “Independent” candidate, Jeremy Walther. The fact that Amestoy does his pod casts from Jeremy’s Pint and Plow Brewery tells you all you need to know. A true non-partisan Independent candidate would never be so closely aligned with a far-left social influencer like Comrade Amestoy.
Hard to imagine why any Republican would subscribe to anything Amestoy offers. We’d all be better off if he went back to California.
