An estimated 380 people attended the Border Invasion Awareness Rally held at Gravity Check Saloon and Arena Sunday, October 17, 2021.
Raul Reyes, candidate for Texas Senate District 24, from Del Rio, addressed the crowd and said that illegal border crossings have reached a 20-year high in recent months. Thanks to Joe Biden’s immigration policies (or lack thereof) the cartels are taking control of our southern border and making billions of dollars by charging migrants for delivering them to US soil (reportedly $8,000 per person), human trafficking, and drug smuggling. “They don’t just cut off your head; they send it to your parents, and that’s what’s coming here,” Reyes said.
The number of illegal immigrants who have crossed the border since Joe Biden took office is estimated between 2 – 5 million thus far in 2021.
Kerr County Sheriff Larry Leitha expressed concern over drug cartel activity and the unchecked U.S.-Mexico border illegal crossings.
Other speakers included Brent Smith, Kinney County attorney; Mike Miller, president of Warriors for Ranchers; George Rodriguez, blogger, author and host of El Conservador; Kerr County activist Bethany Puccio; Kerr County activist Terri Hall; Fredericksburg Tea Party founder Angela Smith; Robert Beverly, founder of Texas Defense Force; Aaron Sorrells, candidate for lieutenant governor; and Kinney County activist Kelly Perry.

I was shocked by what I heard from the residents of Kinney County who are suffering, so after attending the rally, I sent the following message to Governor Greg Abbott via his website:
Dear Gov. Abbott,
I, along with millions of Texans and even more American patriots, am greatly concerned about illegal immigration and what Joe Biden has done in terms of stopping the wall construction, ending Trump’s stay in Mexico policy, reinstating catch and release, and effectively giving an open invitation to anyone (except Cubans) to enter the USA illegally, stay and enjoy all sorts of Government welfare programs all at the expense of legal tax paying citizens. You need to call a 4th special legislative session and ensure that HB 141 is passed making trespassing a felony offense so that illegal immigrants who enter and trespass on private property can be arrested and deported. You also need to finish the border wall that Trump started. I don’t care what it costs, it is far less than the cost of illegal immigration! Use the steel panels left abandoned by Joe Biden. Get it done if you want to stay in office. Yesterday I attended a border invasion rally with 400 other patriots who all feel the same way.
