Here is a link to a video we prepared to demonstrate how ballots are counted via the Texas Election Code Chapter 65 method. We used paper ballots based on our November 2022 general election. Each ballot has 20 individual races on 3 pages. It took the team 2 hours and 14 minutes to count 150 ballots. Through the miracle of time lapse videography, the 2 hour + effort has been compressed into a video of approximately 11 minutes. A narration was added to explain the process. Note that the end result was complete agreement between all three tally sheets (100% accurate). I hope you will find it informative. It’s certainly not rocket science. Also, in case you know any civic minded students over 16 years old, they can also serve as clerks and hand count.
Kind regards,
