At the request of Richard Bohnert, CEC Elections Committee Chair, I made the following presentation to the Republican Party County Executive Committee to help them in their deliberation on whether to hand count paper ballots in the 2026 Republican Primary elections. I started with why election integrity is so important, provided examples of how easily electronic voting equipment can be manipulated, talked about other countries that hand count paper ballots, then provided other election news and closed with an analysis of the various options available to the CEC to enhance the integrity of their elections, including the hand counting of paper ballots. Ultimately the CEC voted to hand count ballots on election day as is planned in Hayes and Dallas counties. I see this as a great step forward toward proving that we can hand count and that the new Echo 65 method is easy, accurate and totally transparent. I congratulate the CEC for this bold decision and will work with them to help make their hand count a success.
