Center Point Gravel Recovery Operation Making Strong Progress

The gravel recovery operation at Crossing Street in Center Point is progressing nicely. A huge volume of sifted gravel has now been recovered from the site and put to work throughout the community.

Gravel has been delivered to the future Center Point Volunteer Fire Department station site at Highway 27 and JJ Lane for its building foundation and parking lot.

Additional gravel has been provided for:

• Center Point ISD football stadium parking areas
• A new parking area along Kelly Street beside the Center Point Historic Park, which remains a work in progress
• Private-road repairs throughout Kerr County

As private-road repairs continue, this recovered gravel will be available free of charge. It is not the same as traditional road base, but it works well for roads that have been severely washed out.

A loader is not currently available at the Crossing Street property. We hope to have one operating there throughout next week to help finish the project.

Free Gravel for Road Repairs

Residents may pick up gravel next week but must provide their own trailer or dump truck.

The gravel may not be placed back into the floodplain. This is a condition of the permit obtained by Annie’s Helping Hands.
