FEMA Individual Assistance Approved for Kerr County Flood Victims

Good news for Kerr County families affected by the July storms and flooding. On October 30, Governor Greg Abbott announced that the federal government approved Texas's appeal for FEMA Individual Assistance. Kerr is one of 20 counties now eligible.

Individual Assistance can help eligible residents with temporary housing, emergency home repairs, uninsured or underinsured property losses, disaster legal services, disaster unemployment assistance, and medical, dental and funeral expenses caused by the disaster.

    How to apply:

An appeal for Hazard Mitigation grant funding is still pending.

"This is the help many of our neighbors have been waiting for. If you were affected by the July floods, please apply, and help a neighbor apply too." — Rich Paces
