Kerr County will continue to grow and develop. It’s a jewel in the Hill County and people will continue to be attracted to move here. My vision for Precinct 2 and Kerr County includes improved services, better infrastructure, lower taxes, properly managed growth and a thriving local economy. I’d like to see Center Point become a historic community and part of the Texas Heritage Trails Program which would promote the development of heritage tourism. Becoming a historic community would also aid in the restoration of some of our historic homes. I see a vibrant community with new shops, restaurants, bed & breakfasts, and river vacation rentals. I’d also like to see Kerrville do more to promote tourism with the goal of making Center Point and Kerrville part of a Hill Country Tourism Loop from Comfort to Center Point to Kerrville to Fredericksburg and back. So, I will do all I can to encourage and support the development required to promote tourism and bring the economic benefits to Kerr County. But the key will be to proactively plan for the growth that we know is coming and make sure that we address the issues in a timely manner.
